Denver Broncos @ Oakland Raiders Sun. Dec. 19th 2010 4:15pm EST
The Denver Broncos and the Oakland Raiders are two teams in the AFC West division that have really struggled over the past two years as no matter what they have done in terms of changes to their team just haven’t been able to compete with the likes of the San Diego Chargers with in the division.
This season both teams had high hopes of finally being of the change that fact as they had made considerable upgrades over the past two years, but as the Denver Broncos quickly turned into one of the worst teams in the league and out of playoff contention heading into Week 15, the Oakland Raiders done the complete opposite as they are still in the running for the ASC West division title and could quite possibly be playoff bound.
Back in Week 7, the Oakland Raiders pulled off their biggest win in franchise history over the Denver Broncos as they lit up this team for an unbelievable 59 points. Not only was it impressive that the Raiders were able to do this with what was thought to be a questionable offense, but they really do it in the Mile High City and prove to everyone that they were for real this season.
In Week 15, things will be a little bit different as this division rivalry will head to Oakland and rookie quarterback Tim Tebow looks like he might get his first start in the NFL.
Personally, I don’t think Tebow will be able to instantly turn this team around, but with his ability to hurt opposing defenses with both his arm and his legs, he could make this a closer game than anticipated.
Even though Tebow getting the start will almost certainly impact this game, I believe in the end the Oakland Raiders will still come out on top and get the win while covering the -6.5 point spread.
